Terms and Conditions

Last updated 2026-10-19

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Supercharged (the “Platform”), operated by BCGH Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16617326, whose registered office is at 4 Longhope Close, Redditch, England, B98 0QX (“BCGH Limited”, “Supercharged”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”).

1. Introduction and Definitions

By creating an account and using the Platform, you (“You” or “Your”) agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Notice, which sets out in full how personal data is handled, including for individuals contacted through the Platform who are not registered users.

In these Terms, the following definitions apply: “Services” means the search, compatibility scoring, and outreach features made available through the Platform. “Discovered Person” means an individual identified through the Platform who is not a registered user of the Platform. “Personal Data” has the meaning given to it in the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. “Privacy Notice” means the separate document referenced above. “Credits” means the allocation described in section 19, which may be consumed to access the Services.

If You do not agree to these Terms, You must not use the Platform.

2. Description of the Services

Supercharged is an autonomous people connection platform. The Services allow You to search for relevant professionals and alumni using natural language, receive a compatibility score indicating the likely suitability of a match, and draft, send, and track outreach, with the aim of supporting outcomes such as informational conversations, referrals, interviews, and internships.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Platform. The Platform is not directed at, and must not be used by, anyone under 18.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of Your account and for all activity conducted through it. You must provide accurate and complete registration information and notify Us promptly of any unauthorised use of Your account.

4. Data Protection Principles

We process Personal Data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. In particular, We collect Personal Data only for the specific purposes set out in these Terms, collect no more Personal Data than is necessary for those purposes, take reasonable steps to keep Personal Data accurate and up to date, retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary, apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures, and maintain documented assessments supporting the processing described in these Terms, including a Legitimate Interests Assessment and a Data Protection Impact Assessment, summaries of which are available on request.

5. Data You Provide to Us

Profile Information. When You register, We collect Your name, course of study, year group, career goals, and email address. This is used to personalise search results, compatibility scoring, and drafted outreach, and to provide You with access to Your account. The lawful basis for this processing is performance of Our contract with You.

CV and Writing Samples. If You upload a CV or examples of Your own writing so that drafted messages reflect Your voice, this is used solely for that purpose. It is retained for 30 days from Your last use of the Platform and is automatically deleted thereafter if You do not return within that period.

Usage and Analytics Data. We collect data on Your use of the Platform, including searches conducted, messages sent, and credits used. During the pilot phase, this data and associated analytics are used to evaluate and improve the Platform. Where such data is shared with a partner society, it is aggregated and anonymised beforehand.

Your Profile and Other Users. Other Users of the Platform can find You in their searches and see Your name, headline, location and LinkedIn link, and the profile sections You choose to show. They never see Your email address, CV file, writing samples or career goals. This is part of the Services We provide under Our contract with You, and You can switch it off, or hide any section, at any time in Settings.

Startups and Firms. If You choose to, startups and firms using the Platform to hire can find Your profile for internships and jobs. This is a separate, optional choice that rests on Your consent, never on these Terms; it is off unless You switch it on, and You can withdraw it at any time in Settings. Our Privacy Notice sets out what they see.

Search Content. Search queries You enter are processed by Our own systems to identify Discovered Persons. We do not transmit the free text of Your search queries to third party data providers; where a third party source is queried to find a match, this is done using structured criteria derived from Your query, not the query text itself.

No Use for AI Training. We do not use Your Personal Data, or Personal Data relating to a Discovered Person, to train or refine the underlying AI or machine learning models used to provide the Services.

6. Special Category Data

We do not seek to collect special category data, including data concerning health, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation, about You or any Discovered Person. Where such information is inadvertently present in material You upload, or in publicly available information about a Discovered Person, it is not used and plays no part in any matching or outreach decision.

You must not submit special category data, government identification numbers, financial account details, or data relating to a child, to the Platform at any time, whether about Yourself or any other person.

7. Information About Discovered Persons

Sourcing. Discovered Persons are identified using information that is publicly available on the internet, and through vetted third party data providers and application programming interfaces, such as professional contact enrichment services. We select these sources carefully and require them to maintain appropriate data protection safeguards, although We do not control how they originally collected the underlying information, and We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of third party sourced data.

Lawful Basis. Where We process Personal Data relating to a Discovered Person, We rely on legitimate interests as Our lawful basis under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR, supported by a formal Legitimate Interests Assessment addressing the purpose, necessity, and impact of such processing. A Discovered Person is provided with notice on first contact, in accordance with Article 14 UK GDPR, including their right to object, with further detail available in Our Privacy Notice.

8. Recipients and Third Parties

To provide the Services, We share limited Personal Data with third party data providers engaged to discover and enrich contact information, cloud hosting and infrastructure providers who store data on Our behalf, a payment processor, and any partner society with which You are affiliated, but only in aggregated and anonymised form.

We do not sell Personal Data to any third party, and We require each provider We engage to meet appropriate data protection standards.

9. Sending of Outreach

Supercharged prepares a draft message for any Discovered Person You wish to contact. You are required to review the message, make any amendments You consider necessary, and provide express approval before it is sent. Once approved, messages are sent from Your own personal email account, rather than from Our infrastructure, and You are responsible for the content and consequences of any message You personally choose to send.

This does not alter how the Personal Data of the recipient is handled prior to that point. We remain responsible, together with You, as a controller for how such data was sourced, matched, and used to prepare the draft, and for meeting Our own transparency and data protection obligations. The use of Your own account for sending determines accountability for the outgoing message itself; it does not transfer Our underlying data protection responsibilities.

10. Personal Email Integration

Where the Platform connects to Your personal email account to send messages on Your behalf, We request only the limited permission necessary to send a message You have composed and approved. We do not read, scan, store, or otherwise access the content of Your inbox, sent items, or any other folder beyond what is strictly necessary to send the approved message and record that it was sent.

You may revoke this permission at any time through Your email provider’s account settings or through the Platform.

11. Opt-Out Handling

Where a Discovered Person responds indicating that they do not wish to be contacted further, Our system is designed to detect this automatically and add them to a permanent suppression list. Once added, the Platform will not generate or permit further outreach to that individual. This reflects the absolute right under Article 21(3) UK GDPR to object to direct marketing at any time, and it may not be overridden by You or by Us. This right, and Our obligations around electronic marketing more generally, also arise under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR).

12. Sending Limits and Cool-Down Periods

To avoid outreach resembling unsolicited bulk communication, the Platform applies cool-down periods between messages and limits on the volume of messages sent within a given period. These limits protect both Your email sending reputation and that of the Discovered Person, and may not be bypassed.

13. Automated Matching, Profiling, and Fair Treatment

Compatibility scoring uses Your profile information together with information about a Discovered Person to suggest and rank potential matches. No decision concerning You or a Discovered Person is made solely by automated means without human involvement, and no such decision has a legal or similarly significant effect, as You retain sole discretion over whether to act on any suggestion or approve any message.

Compatibility scoring is designed, and is reviewed periodically, with the aim of avoiding direct or indirect disadvantage to any person on the basis of a protected characteristic within the meaning of the Equality Act 2010.

14. Data Retention

Profile Information is kept for the duration of Your active account, plus a limited period thereafter for legal and administrative purposes. CV and Writing Samples are kept for 30 days from Your last use of the Platform. Information about a Discovered Person is kept only for as long as necessary to support outreach, and is deleted following a defined period of inactivity, or immediately upon objection or removal request. Usage and Analytics Data shared with a partner society is aggregated and anonymised prior to sharing. Payment and billing records are retained for 7 years in accordance with UK tax and accounting obligations.

15. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect Personal Data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, and require equivalent measures of any third party provider We engage.

16. International Transfers

Certain third party services used to discover Discovered Persons are based outside the United Kingdom. Where applicable, We implement appropriate legal safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections recognised under UK GDPR, prior to engaging such services.

17. Export Controls

You must not access or use the Platform from, or on behalf of a person located in, any country or territory subject to UK, EU, or US sanctions or export restrictions, or if You are listed on any applicable restricted party list.

18. Data Protection Rights

You, and any Discovered Person, have the right to access the Personal Data We hold, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of data in certain circumstances, restrict or object to certain processing, including an absolute right to object to direct marketing at any time, receive Your own data in a portable format where applicable, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

To exercise any of these rights, contact Us at team@superchargedai.app. Where We need to verify Your identity to process a request, any identifying information provided for that purpose is used only for verification and is not retained once the request has been resolved.

19. Payments, Credits, and Refunds

Where the Platform offers paid credits or subscriptions, payments are handled by a third party payment processor. We do not store Your full card or payment account details on Our own systems.

Credits are allocated to Your account and consumed as You use the Services. Credits have no monetary value and may not be redeemed for cash, transferred, or resold. Unused credits may be forfeited on account termination, downgrade, or closure. Credits obtained fraudulently may be revoked.

If You are a consumer contracting with Us at a distance, You have the right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to cancel and receive a refund within 14 days of purchase. Outside this statutory period, refunds are provided at Our discretion save where required by law. Nothing in this section affects Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

20. Your Obligations

You agree to review and approve messages prior to sending, use information about a Discovered Person solely for the outreach purpose for which the Platform is designed, not attempt to remove or circumvent the opt-out mechanism or cool-down limits, not contact anyone who has previously requested not to be contacted, not send spam or misrepresent Your identity, and maintain the security of Your account credentials.

21. AI Disclaimer

The Services use artificial intelligence to generate compatibility scores and draft outreach messages. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate in a given context. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI-generated content before it is used or sent.

22. Liability

Supercharged provides tools to assist You in searching for, evaluating, and contacting individuals. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, including a reply, meeting, referral, or offer, and We do not guarantee the accuracy of third party sourced data. You are responsible for the judgement exercised in approving and sending messages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited as a matter of UK law.

23. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Platform belong to Us or Our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for as long as Your account remains active. You retain ownership of content You provide, and grant Us a limited licence to process it as necessary to provide the Services and, in aggregated and anonymised form, to improve the Platform.

24. Term and Termination

These Terms apply for as long as You hold an account with Us. You may close Your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate Your account if You breach these Terms. On termination, Your Personal Data is handled in accordance with the retention periods set out above.

25. Data Breaches

Where a Personal Data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to Your rights, We will notify the Information Commissioner’s Office and any affected individuals in accordance with Our obligations under UK GDPR.

26. Amendments

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Where a material change is made, We will notify You before it takes effect.

27. Complaints Procedure

If You have a complaint about the Platform, about how Your Personal Data has been handled, or about the fair treatment commitment in section 13, contact Us at team@superchargedai.app. This does not affect Your right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the Equality and Human Rights Commission, or any other relevant body at any time.

28. Third Party Rights

A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of these Terms. This does not affect any statutory right that a Discovered Person has independently of these Terms.

29. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect. You may not assign or transfer Your rights under these Terms without Our prior written consent. These Terms, together with the Privacy Notice, constitute the entire agreement between You and Us. Headings are included for convenience only. Any notice given under these Terms must be in writing.

30. Contact and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. For any query, contact George Hastings, CTO of BCGH Limited, at team@superchargedai.app.
